EasyChange Privacy Policy

Data stored locally on your device:

• Currency conversion history
• Theme preferences (light or dark)
• Language preferences (Spanish, English, or Portuguese)
• Custom exchange rates
• Favorite and selected currencies

This data is never sent to our servers and remains exclusively on your device.

Data processed on our servers:

• Device identifier (for subscription management and rate alerts)
• Premium subscription status
• User-configured exchange rate alert rules
• Progress in the rewards system (Journey)
• Aggregated usage analytics
• IP address (for geolocation and rate limiting)

Automatically collected data:

• Anonymous usage analytics via Firebase Analytics (with anonymized IP)
• Device type, operating system version, and app version

EasyChange uses the following third-party services for its operation:

• Firebase Analytics (Google) — Anonymous usage analytics with IP anonymization
• Google AdMob — In-app advertising (see section 3)
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — Push notifications for rate alerts
• RevenueCat — Premium subscription management
• Supabase — Backend infrastructure and database
• ExchangeRate-API — Real-time international exchange rates
• Banco Central de Cuba (BCC) — Official Cuban exchange rates (public data)
• ElToque — Informal Cuban exchange rates
• ForexRateAPI — Historical exchange rate data
• ipinfo.io / ip-api.com — IP-based geolocation to determine user country

Each of these services operates under its own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them for more information.

EasyChange displays ads through Google AdMob. On Android devices, the advertising identifier (AD_ID) permission is used to personalize the ads shown.

• AdMob may use device identifiers and cookies to display relevant ads
• Users in Cuba are excluded from advertising due to regional restrictions
• Premium subscribers do not see ads
• You can disable ad personalization from your device's privacy settings

EasyChange uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send push notifications related to user-configured exchange rate alerts.

Notifications are optional and can be disabled at any time from your device settings or within the app.

At EasyChange, your privacy is our priority:

• Protected local data — Your conversion history, preferences, and settings remain on your device
• Secure server — Server data (subscriptions, alerts, analytics) is stored on Supabase with encryption in transit (HTTPS)
• Full control — You can delete your local data by uninstalling the app or clearing its data from your device settings
• Rate limiting — We use IP addresses to prevent service abuse; these are not stored permanently

EasyChange uses your IP address to determine your approximate geographic location through ipinfo.io (with ip-api.com as a fallback). This information is used to:

• Enable Cuba-specific features (BCC and ElToque rates)
• Limit server requests (rate limiting)
• Apply security restrictions when necessary

Firebase Analytics automatically anonymizes IP addresses before processing.

Android:

• INTERNET — Internet connection to fetch exchange rates
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — Check connection availability
• AD_ID — Advertising identifier for personalized ads

iOS:

• Background Fetch — Background data updates
• Remote Notifications — Push notification delivery
• Local Network — Communication with home screen widgets

The application is not specifically intended for children under 18 years of age. However, it contains no inappropriate content and can be safely used by users of all ages under parental supervision when appropriate.

You have the right to:

• Request information about the data we process related to your device
• Request the deletion of your data from our servers
• Disable push notifications and ad personalization
