Delete My Data - EasyChange
EasyChange allows you to request the complete deletion of all your data stored on our servers. EasyChange does not require a user account; your information is associated only with an anonymous device identifier.
How to request deletion of your data
To delete your data, follow these steps within the app:
- Open EasyChange on your device
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Scroll down to the "Privacy" section
- Tap "Delete my data from server"
- Confirm the action in the confirmation dialog
Deletion is executed immediately. You will receive an on-screen confirmation when complete.
Deletion can only be performed from the app, as your information is associated with an anonymous device identifier that is not linked to any personal data such as name or email address.
If you uninstalled the app, you can reinstall it from Google Play or the App Store, perform the deletion from Settings, and then uninstall it again if you wish.
Data that is deleted
When you request deletion, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:
- Exchange rate alerts — All configured notification rules
- Rewards system progress — Daily bonuses and ad rewards
- Device registration — Your anonymous identifier and associated data (platform, IP, last activity)
- Session history — Usage and activity logs in the app
- Purchase events — Premium subscription records (via RevenueCat)
- Restriction status — If your device has any active restrictions, they will be removed
Data that is NOT deleted
The following data is not linked to your device and therefore is not affected:
- Exchange rate cache — Temporarily stored public rate data (contains no personal information)
- IP geolocation cache — Linked to IP addresses, not devices. Expires automatically within 48 hours
- Request rate limits — Rate-limiting counters per IP. Expire automatically within 60 seconds
- Global app configuration — Shared configuration data (minimum version, etc.)
Locally stored data
The following data is stored exclusively on your device and is never sent to our servers:
- Currency conversion history
- Theme and language preferences
- Custom exchange rates
- Favorite and selected currencies
To delete this local data, you can:
- Uninstall the app from your device
- Or go to Device Settings > Apps > EasyChange > Clear data
Retention periods
- Server data linked to device — Deleted immediately upon request
- IP geolocation cache — Expires automatically within 48 hours
- Rate-limiting counters — Expire automatically within 60 seconds
- Local device data — Persists until you uninstall the app or clear its data
We do not retain backups of your personal data once deleted.
Consequences of deleting your data
After deletion:
- You will lose all configured exchange rate alerts
- Your rewards system (Journey) progress will be reset
- If you had an active premium subscription, the server record will be removed (but the subscription remains active on App Store/Google Play until you cancel it)
- The app will continue to work normally — a new anonymous identifier will be generated automatically
